Substitute Teacher

QUALIFICATIONS

Valid New Jersey Substitute Credential, Teaching Certificate, or eligibility as required by New Jersey law. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students, staff, and administrators. Ability to follow written lesson plans and classroom procedures. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Basic technology skills necessary to support classroom instruction and district systems.

Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding student and staff information. Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status. Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. REPORTS TO: Building Principal JOB GOAL: To provide continuity of instruction during the absence of the regular classroom teacher by implementing lesson plans, maintaining a safe and orderly learning environment, supervising students, and supporting the educational program of the Buena Regional School District.

This position is expected to uphold all Board policies, district procedures, professional standards, and student safety requirements.
