$32.84 - $49.26 Schedule Information Scheduled Weekly Hours: 36 Work Shift: Tuesday

  • Friday, 7a-4:30p Participation in a rotating endoscopy call schedule is required, typically every sixth weekend. Weekend call hours are generally 6:00a to 10a Saturday and Sunday. This role provides comprehensive nursing care throughout the endoscopy experience, from pre-procedure preparation and procedural support to recovery, discharge education, and emergency response. What You'll Do

As an Endoscopy Registered Nurse, you will provide safe, high-quality, patient-centered care throughout all phases of the endoscopy process. You will perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop and implement individualized nursing care plans, and provide education to patients and families regarding procedures, recovery expectations, and discharge instructions.

You will ensure all required documentation, informed consents, and procedural preparations are completed before procedures begin. During procedures, you will assist physicians and providers while maintaining patient safety, comfort, and clinical monitoring. You will monitor patients receiving moderate sedation, recognize changes in patient condition, and respond appropriately with timely interventions.

also include medication administration, specimen management, procedural documentation, and emergency response when necessary. Following procedures, you will provide recovery care, evaluate patient readiness for discharge, reinforce education, and ensure patients and families understand post-procedural instructions and follow-up recommendations.

You will collaborate closely with physicians, anesthesia providers, nurses, and support staff to ensure efficient patient flow, effective communication, and exceptional clinical outcomes. This role participates in interdisciplinary care coordination and promotes a positive patient experience through compassionate and professional interactions.

You will support quality improvement initiatives, infection prevention efforts, medication safety practices, and compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. Additionally, you will assist with the proper handling, transport, cleaning, and storage of endoscopic equipment and accessories. Participation in the endoscopy call rotation is required.

You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and can effectively educate patients and families throughout the care experience. Physical Requirements Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, and move throughout the department. Ability to assist with patient positioning, transfers, and transportation while utilizing safe patient-handling techniques. Ability to lift, move, and manage equipment and supplies necessary to support procedural and patient care activities.

Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment and respond effectively to urgent and emergency situations. Ability to maintain focus and attention to detail while monitoring patients before, during, and after procedures. Education, Certifications, Licensure Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required. Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Missouri required.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within six months of hire. Previous experience in endoscopy, procedural nursing, critical care, emergency nursing, perioperative nursing, or medical-surgical nursing preferred. Experience utilizing electronic health records and clinical documentation systems preferred.
