Under general direction of Full Time Recreation Staff Pomps Pond Directors and Head Guards. Work is available as Pomps Pond Lifeguard and Swim Instructor. Lifeguards help ensure the safety of swimmers and perform general maintenance duties. Pomps Pond is located off Abbot Street and is part of the Recreation Park complex.
The Pond comprises 16 of the 62 acres in the Park. The Pond offers a spacious sunbathing area, recreational swimming, shaded picnic grounds, children's playground area, volleyball net, sailboat, canoe, stand up paddle board and kayak rentals, bathrooms, showers, and a concession stand. Red Cross certified swim lessons are offered to the community.
