Director of Warehouse & Fulfillment Operations – North America
Job description
Director of Warehouse Operations – North America Location: Miamisburg, OH (HQ) Department: Operations Reports To: VP, Operations FLSA Status: Full-Time, Exempt Level: M Travel: Yes – within North America (US & Canada) Summary The Director of Warehouse & Fulfillment Operations – North America is responsible for overseeing warehousing and distribution across Covation Global / United Wheels Inc.
’s North American network, including the U.S. facilities and support for the Canada team. This leader develops and executes the North American warehousing strategy — including location selection, contracting, optimizing inventory management, cost efficiency, and on-time fulfillment — while ensuring compliance, safety, and operational excellence across all facilities.
The role drives efficiency, maintains high service standards, and builds the systems, teams, and processes that keep product flowing reliably from arrival to dispatch across North America. In addition, this role leads the modernization of Ecommerce channel fulfillment. This includes optimizing our use of specialized ecommerce 3PLs and our partnerships with Amazon and Walmart Fulfillment services.
Why This Role Matters Covation Global moves more than 3 million unit a year through the North American network of warehouses — and the health of that network determines whether product reaches customers accurately, on time, and at a controlled cost. This role owns that network. It sets the regional warehousing strategy, holds each facility to consistent standards, brings automation and technology to bear, and maintains inventory accuracy through robust cycle counting programs across the U.
S. and Canada. Strong leadership here protects fulfillment performance, controls operating costs, and gives the business a scalable, well-run North American distribution backbone; it also builds the tools and standards the region has lacked — a national warehouse safety playbook and a data-rich KPI dashboard — that make performance visible and repeatable.
Without it, warehouses drift out of alignment, costs climb, inventory sits in the wrong places, and fulfillment suffers. This role does not own supply planning or inventory levels. It coordinates with Supply Planning to ensure the right warehousing resources and capacity are in place to support the area supply plan, and it owns accurate inventory reporting for product inside the warehouses.
What Success Looks Like (3 Core Outcomes): A High-Performing, Compliant NA Network: Warehouses across North America operate to consistent standards under a national safety playbook, comply with applicable regulations and safety requirements, and meet targets for order accuracy, fulfillment times, and inventory turnover.
Optimized Inventory Accuracy, Cost & Fulfillment: The regional warehousing strategy delivers efficient inventory accuracy, controlled operating costs, and reliable on-time fulfillment, supported by a data-rich operational management dashboard that makes operational execution health visible across sites. Strong Teams & Measurable Efficiency Gains: Warehouse teams are well-led and accountable, and the function delivers measurable cost savings and process improvements — including through the Efficiency Task and cross-functional lean initiatives.
We know where we should be: consistently revisit assumptions, strategize with the VP of Operations on where we should be warehousing Contract management: Ensure we have the right Warehousing contracts and leases and that we have the best terms to meet the needs of our business Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned.

Oversee inventory positioning and flow across facilities to ensure product is placed and deployed efficiently across the network. Develop and maintain a national warehouse safety playbook, establishing consistent safety standards, training, and practices across all North American facilities.
Develop and own a data-rich inventory management dashboard that provides visibility into inventory levels, accuracy, throughput, and site performance across the network to support decisions and prevent excess or misplaced inventory. Leadership & Strategy Align North American warehousing operations with broader company goals and values.
