Environmental Specialist Position Summary: The Environmental Specialist manages environmental compliance programs, regulatory reporting, and sustainability initiatives while serving as the primary liaison with environmental agencies. This role ensures organizational adherence to environmental regulations while promoting sustainable practices.

Job Status: Full-Time Salaried Exempt Reports to: Site Manager Role Responsibilities: Environmental Compliance Manage environmental reporting requirements: FIFRA Production Reporting Tier II Reporting Air Permit Emissions and Compliance Toxic Release Inventory (TRI) Hazardous Waste Reporting SPCC Plan Management Conduct monthly opacity monitoring using DOCS II system Coordinate with consultants on environmental permitting Serve as main contact for environmental regulatory agencies Program Management Lead sustainability initiatives Direct ISO 14001 development Support RO system regulatory compliance Assist with waste management operations Oversee environmental training programs Education: Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science or STEM field Environmental certifications preferred Experience / Skills / Abilities: Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance Expertise in hazardous materials/waste procedures Excellent communication and organizational skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Proficiency in environmental management systems Project management capabilities Job Expectations / Working Conditions: Prolonged periods of sitting and standing Building stair navigation Physical movements: bending, reaching, squatting Outdoor work in various temperatures Office and industrial environment exposure Regular use of PPE as required
