Job Posting Guidelines What’s The Job? GHSP, headquartered in West Michigan, is a leading global supplier of mechanical and electromechanical systems to the automotive, transportation, and appliance industry. Reporting to the Director of Finance, GHSP is currently looking for a Head of Tax, Treasury, and Compliance to join our Corporate Finance team in Holland.

( Onsite-Hybrid work options are available ) What You’ll Do Oversee the Tax function. Perform as the key liaison between 3 rd Party Service Provider and GHSP related to all federal and state income taxes. Coordinate data collection needed for the tax filings. Perform any reviews required related to property tax filings, assisting with applying for abatements where possible.

Work to ensure GHSP is taking advantage of tax incentives/ applying for credits where appropriate. Verify that sales tax reporting is performed as accurately as possible. Perform as the key contact for Treasury. For any changes in bank accounts or other bank matters, help ensure changes are coordinated and implemented correctly.

Support the Director of Finance with any communications needed related to the treasury function. Perform necessary Government Reporting. Implement and maintain a tracker of required government reports, inclusive of census bureau surveys, federal reports, state reports, local surveys, etc. Ensure that GHSP is registered to file any necessary certifications/ reports in states where business is performed.

Track and maintain compliance with all necessary government reports. Lead the Insurance Renewal process . Coordinate data collection with other sites and other functions, in order to complete & submit the information needed for the insurance renewal process (general insurance, property insurance). Work directly with the insurance providers to ensure a smooth annual renewal process.

Work collaboratively with other functions (Human Resources, Purchasing), as needed, to ensure we are cost effective related to the insurance coverage obtained. If any issues arise requiring use of insurance, perform as a key liaison between the insurance provider and company personnel impacted. Support the Audit coordination .

Support the audit planning process for Annual Financial Statement audit, as well as interim, test of controls, any quarterly updates which may be needed, and the year end audit. Work with all GHSP personnel needed to minimize audit issues/ control issues. Perform special projects related to Finance as needed. Participates as a member of the Finance Team .

Participates in ongoing development, practices with all team members. Attends appropriate team meetings. As a member of the Finance Team, fosters strong cohesiveness regarding all major issues, e.g., direction, annual plan, budget, policy changes, etc. Accepts responsibility to quickly identify any areas lacking cohesiveness, bringing them to the attention of the team leader and working with the team in a supportive manner to resolve issues.

Actively look for ways, and reinforce actions needed, to achieve synergy possible within the larger organization. Performs other duties as necessary in support of business objectives. This position description is intended to guide the activities of the Finance team related to tax, treasury, government reporting, audit & compliance.

What You’ll Bring Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or related field CPA preferred Technical Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of finance experience Industry Experience: Manufacturing accounting experience.

Preferred automotive Accuracy: High level of attention to detail and accuracy exhibited. ERP / Manufacturing Systems : Familiarity with integrated manufacturing systems and ability to understand roles outside of finance. Computer Skills : Competent in spreadsheets, databases, and related computer skills. Familiarity in integrated manufacturing systems.

GHSP Operating systems principles and objectives: Knows all GHSP established operating systems (e.g. quality, safety, environmental). Understands the responsibility to maintain familiarity the systems and this position’s role in support of these systems - including a consideration of the impact of individual actions on the systems and the responsibility to communicate concerns and improvement ideas.
