Litigation Paralegal Location: Birmingham, AL 35203 (Hybrid Schedule Available) Lightfoot, Franklin & White is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join our trial team in Birmingham. This is a hybrid role, offering a mix of in-office and remote flexibility. We’re looking for someone with experience in litigation, trial preparation, and case management.

You’ll work closely with our trial attorneys on complex, high-stakes matters and play a key role in every stage of litigation.

Key Responsibilities

Organize and manage electronic and physical case files, track deadlines, and handle legal documentation. File pleadings, motions, and other legal documents in state and federal courts. Draft discovery requests and responses; manage document collection, review, and production. Prepare trial notebooks, exhibits, and witness lists; provide support during trials and hearings.

Communicate with clients and third parties regarding case status and logistics. Record and monitor billing time and manage case-related expenses. Adapt to evolving trial schedules and collaborate within a fast-paced litigation environment. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree, Associate’s degree, or Paralegal Certificate in legal or paralegal studies and 3+ years of experience as a Paralegal, preferably in civil litigation or product liability.

Familiarity with Alabama state and federal court rules and litigation procedures. Skilled in drafting motions, pleadings, subpoenas, and other legal documents. Experience with e-discovery tools such as Relativity, Logikcull, Everlaw, DISCO, or similar platforms is desired. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Adobe Acrobat, i.

Manage, and i. Timekeep. Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, trial-heavy legal environment.
