Head of science - Scientific Governance | Right Hand to the CEO

ABOUT ONATERA Onatera is a leading natural health and wellness brand, growing fast. Three years ago, we moved from distributor to manufacturer, and we have spent the time since building a vision and testing what works. Today we are ready to scale, and science sits at the heart of how we want to win: in our products, our claims and everything we say to our customers.

THE OPPORTUNITY We are creating a company-wide scientific governance, and we are looking for the person who will build it from the ground up. This is a rare, founding role. You will work directly alongside the CEO, with a mandate that cuts across every function: brand, communications, retail, customer care, R&D, production and quality, sales.

You will set the bar for scientific rigor across the company and make it a lasting competitive advantage. The role starts as a hands-on, autonomous position, with no direct reports at first. Its scope will grow with the company and with what you build. The ambition is for you to become the scientific authority behind Onatera as we establish the brand across Europe.

YOUR MISSION Reporting directly to the CEO, you act as their scientific right hand and as a roving lead across the organization. You control, introduce and spread a high level of technical expertise in every department, and you drive the cross-functional projects that matter most.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

advise, challenge and drive priorities Safeguard the scientific rigor of all content, claims and public communications Work with R&D and production and quality to raise the scientific standard of our products Equip our brand, communications, retail, customer care and sales teams with accessible, reliable expertise Check the scientific consistency of what we do across departments, and flag issues early Train teams and lift the level of scientific knowledge across the company Lead strategic, cross-functional projects end to end, with full autonomy Stay ahead of scientific and regulatory developments in the food supplement sector, in France and across Europe YOUR PROFILE A PhD is required, with a strong technical and scientific background Deep knowledge of the food supplement industry A highly entrepreneurial mindset: you move without a roadmap, take ownership and make things happen The credibility and communication skills to earn the trust of executives, experts and non-scientific teams alike A solo operator: you are comfortable running projects from start to finish on your own Fluent English and fluent French are both mandatory: French is a working language with our teams Comfortable operating at the heart of the executive team WHAT WE OFFER A seat next to the CEO and a mandate that touches every part of the business A founding role with real autonomy and room to grow with the company A direct impact on how a fast-growing brand builds its authority in Europe A fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment PRACTICAL DETAILS Permanent contract (CDI).
