Junior Sous Chef

Working alongside a wonderful culinary team at The Peninsula Bangkok, we are seeking a Junior Sous Chef to support our Pastry Kitchen and create exceptional pastries, desserts, and baked creations. Supervise, guide, and allocate work to the pastry team according to their skills and experience. Prepare and produce a wide range of pastries, desserts, cakes, breads, and other baked creations to the highest standards. Assist in developing and implementing new pastry menus, recipes, and creative concepts. Ensure consistency in taste, quality, presentation, and adherence to recipes and production standards.

Monitor food cost, stock levels, and wastage to ensure efficient and cost-conscious operations. Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and HACCP throughout the Pastry Kitchen. Train, motivate, and support team members to maintain excellent culinary and service standards. General requirements Previous experience as a Junior Sous Chef, Sous Chef, or similar supervisory role in a Pastry Kitchen.

Strong knowledge of pastry, bakery, desserts, and chocolate production. Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards. Creative, passionate, and committed to producing high-quality pastry and dessert creations. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
