The team partners closely with Design, Media, Product, Platforms, and other stakeholders to deliver content that is pedagogically strong, commercially relevant, and aligned with Pearson standards.
About the Role
We are looking for a Lead Specialist, Content Developer to join our English Language Learning team. This is a senior individual contributor role for someone with deep expertise in ELL pedagogy and courseware development who can independently lead complex, multi-level and multi-component projects across print, digital, and blended learning experiences.
You will take ownership of content development delivery, working with Project Managers, authors, external suppliers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure high pedagogical and quality standards while navigating dependencies, changing requirements, tight timelines, and delivery risks. You will also provide expert direction to others and help shape new ways of working as AI transforms how learning content is developed.
Key responsibilities
Lead complex content development across print and digital products , ensuring strong pedagogical , content and learning experience standards. Own content development delivery, proactively identifying and resolving content , quality , dependency and delivery challenges to keep work on track. Work closely with Project Managers, providing realistic development lead times, dependencies and risks , and adapting development approaches when needed .
Provide expert guidance to Content Developers , authors and external suppliers , sharing knowledge and building capability across the team . Lead the adoption of AI- enabled and agentic workflows, continuously improving how content is developed to increase quality , speed and scalability . Collaborate across functions and with external partners to solve problems , remove barriers and enable successful delivery.
Experience and expertise Significant experience in English Language Learning content development across print and digital products, with deep knowledge of ELL pedagogy and learning experience. Proven ability to lead complex development work independently , make sound decisions and solve content , quality and delivery challenges .
Strong understanding of content development workflows, including estimating lead times, identifying dependencies and risks , and developing practical solutions . Experience working with Project Managers, authors , suppliers and multidisciplinary teams in an international environment . Strong understanding and practical use of AI in content development , with the ability to adapt as technologies , processes and ways of working evolve.
Ability to influence , coach and provide expert direction without formal line -management responsibility . Location & Work Set Up This is a full-time, remote role based in Poland.
