Nurse Extern - Med Surg

Job Shift: Rotate Job Type: Per Diem This is a developmental program for nursing students who want to develop multiple and varied clinical skills in a multiple nursing specialties. This position requires participation in a guided training and development program aligned to the scope outlines by the State-specific Board of Nursing.

The Nurse Extern role is designed to provide expanded clinical experience for RN nursing students and to assist the Registered Nursing staff by performing patient care activities, which includes participating in patient care planning, implementation, observation, and evaluation, as well as reporting significant observations to a Registered Nurse.

Education

Required: Currently enrolled in an accredited RN program, and upon completion of first clinical rotation. Experience: Required: None Certifications: Required: AHA BLS
