Employees may be assigned to different departments or sub-departments based on operational needs, and specific duties, responsibilities, and physical requirements may vary depending on the assigned area. Office assignments may include administrative, clerical, customer service, documentation, and computer-based cargo functions.

Warehouse assignments may include freight handling, loading and unloading, cargo movement, equipment operation, and other physical cargo-related duties. Employees may be required to work in different areas of the cargo operation as business needs require. Candidates should be prepared to perform a variety of duties and work in a fast-paced airport environment.

Important Information for Candidates This position may be assigned to either Office or Warehouse operations. Job duties and responsibilities may differ based on the department or sub-department to which the employee is assigned. Assignment is based on operational needs. Warehouse assignments are physically demanding and may require frequent standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, and working in varying temperatures.

Office assignments may involve extended periods of sitting, computer use, data entry, documentation, customer service, and administrative work. All employees are expected to follow company policies, safety procedures, airline requirements, and applicable regulatory requirements. Office Agent – Key Duties and Responsibilities Prepare, review, and process cargo documentation, including airway bills, manifests, delivery orders, and billing paperwork.

Enter and maintain cargo shipment data in company and airline computer systems with a high level of accuracy. Coordinate inbound and outbound cargo activities with warehouse staff, drivers, airline representatives, and customers. Respond to customer, airline, and internal inquiries regarding cargo status, delays, discrepancies, and releases.

Verify cargo details such as weight, piece count, special handling requirements, and customs status. Ensure compliance with TSA, FAA, airline, and company regulations and procedures. Assist in resolving documentation errors, shortages, damage reports, and other operational issues. Maintain organized records and files in accordance with retention and audit requirements.

Perform clerical tasks such as answering phones, responding to emails, scanning documents, and preparing daily reports. Support supervisors and managers with administrative and operational needs as required. Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the position and applicable union agreement. Office Qualifications High school diploma or GED required.

Prior cargo, airline, logistics, or office experience preferred. Basic computer proficiency, including email, data entry, and office systems. Ability to accurately handle paperwork and information in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Good communication and customer service skills.

Office Physical Requirements Ability to sit or stand for extended periods. Ability to perform repetitive office tasks such as typing and file handling. Ability to walk between office and warehouse areas as needed. Warehouse Agent – Key Duties and Responsibilities Organize and categorize freight based on size, weight, and shipping requirements.

Sort freight efficiently for loading and unloading. Properly secure, lift, and position freight to prevent damage during transit. Safeguard fragile or high-value items and handle them according to applicable guidelines. Load freight into over-the-road equipment, containers, city trailers, or straight trucks using appropriate methods.

Ensure loads are properly balanced and secured in compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Operate pallet jacks and forklifts to move freight within the warehouse or loading dock, when authorized. Properly handle and move hazardous materials in accordance with applicable requirements. Follow safety protocols when unloading and handling shipments.

Properly store and label hazardous materials to prevent contamination or accidents. Comply with OSHA and other applicable industry safety standards. Perform all freight handling procedures safely to prevent injury or damage. Perform tasks assigned by the Lead or Supervisor and outlined within the scope of work. Warehouse Preferred Qualifications Forklift certification.

Hazmat handling experience. Freight handling experience. Previous dockworker or warehouse experience. Warehouse Physical & Work Environment Ability to perform physically demanding work, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, loading, and unloading freight. Ability to work around warehouse equipment, aircraft, vehicles, and active loading areas.

Exposure to hot, cold, and other varying weather conditions is common. Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive airport cargo environment. Ability to wear required PPE and follow all safety requirements. Ability to lift and move freight as required by the assigned department and job duties. General Requirements The following requirements apply to all employees assigned to this position , regardless of whether they are assigned to Office or Warehouse operations: Must be at least 18 years of age.

Reliable transportation to work. Valid, unexpired driver's license. Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required by operations. Ability to obtain and maintain an AOA badge, CBP clearance, and USPS mail certification. Ability to read and understand flight schedules. Report to work in appropriate uniform attire and wear required PPE when applicable.

Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements. Follow applicable TSA, FAA, CBP, OSHA, airline, and other regulatory requirements. Maintain required airport security credentials and certifications. Properly clock in and out at the beginning and end of each shift. Demonstrate respectful and helpful behavior toward coworkers, airline personnel, customers, and other employees working within the assigned area.

Authorized to work in the United States. We use E-Verify. Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the position and applicable union agreement. Department assignments and specific duties may change based on operational needs.
