Water Safety Specialist

Main Description As part of the Water Safety Operations team, you will monitor guest safety, respond to emergencies, enforce safety standards, and deliver exceptional service. This role requires the ability to work throughout water park and waterfront operations while performing duties with professionalism, confidence, and a strong commitment to guest well-being.

Main Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain constant surveillance of guests within assigned zones to ensure a safe environment and act when hazardous situations arise. Respond immediately and effectively to all emergencies, with particular focus on waterfront and beach areas. Perform water rescues utilizing trained rescue techniques, rescue boards, and watercraft.

Administer emergency care including First Aid, CPR, AED, rescue breathing, and other Basic Life Support (BLS) procedures as required. Operate mechanical ride control systems to safely start, stop, and evacuate motorized ride lifts. Operate ride dispatch stations to ensure the safe launch of guests onto water attractions.

Monitor ride activity through live video surveillance systems and implement emergency procedures as required. Conduct routine inspections and equipment checks to ensure safety and operational readiness. Assist in preparations for special events, severe weather responses, and other operational requirements. Lead and participate in daily physical conditioning exercises.

Attend and actively participate in meetings, training sessions, audits, and development programs. The Company operates a twenty-four (24) hour business. Therefore, you may be rostered to work shifts, which may change from time to time. Required Qualifications Highschool Diploma Minimum six (6) months experience as a Water Safety Specialist 2. Ability to obtain and maintain: Innovative Attraction Management/Star. Guard Elite Waterfront Lifeguard Certification Innovative Attraction Management/Star. Guard Elite Lifeguard Certification Innovative Attraction Management/Star. Guard Elite Basic Water Rescue Certification Ability to successfully pass company pre-qualification testing procedures.
