Swiss-Type TORNOS CNC Operator / Setter (Sliding Head Lathe)

Location: Hungary Contract Type: Fixed term Work Schedule: 3-shift rotation: Morning: 06:00 am – 02:00 pm Afternoon: 02:00 pm – 10:00 pm Night: 10:00 pm – 06:00 am Workdays: Monday to Friday (with occasional overtime required) ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking an experienced TORNOS Swiss-Type CNC Operator / Setter to join our high-precision manufacturing facility.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Sliding Head CNC Machines such as Tsugami, Citizen, Tornos, Hanwha, and similar platforms. This role offers international exposure, advanced machining technology, and long-term career growth.

Requirements

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set up and operate Swiss-Type Sliding Head CNC Lathes and CNC turning centres
• Production of precision components such as bodies for taps, dies, and thread mills
• Perform machine setup including guide bush adjustment, spindle alignment, and tool offset setting
• Operate and set machines including Tornos Deco, DMG, Nakamura, Tsugami, and Okuma with Fanuc and Siemens NCT controls
• Handle bar feeders such as LNS and IMECA
• Perform in-process quality control by reading technical documentation and using measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, snap gauges, and optical measuring devices
• Interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, and GD&T
• Select cutting tools and optimize machining processes
• Monitor productivity, cycle time, and part quality
• Troubleshoot machining issues and minimize downtime
• Carry out basic machine maintenance required for routine operation
• Maintain production records and ensure safety compliance CANDIDATE PROFILE Education:
• Qualifications & Experience Education Technical diploma or vocational training in machining, manufacturing, or related field Experience:
• Minimum 4–5 years in Swiss-Type CNC setup and operation Skills:
• Strong machining knowledge
• Ability to work independently
