• WEEKEND Shift Location: American Products, Strafford MO Primary Shift: Saturday-Monday 5:30am-5:30pm Training Shift: Tuesday
• Friday: 5:30am-3:30pm Pay: 19-20/hr + 20% Shift Differential About the Role We’re hiring a Class B Brake Press Operator to support our metal fabrication team. In this role, you’ll operate brake press equipment to bend, shape, and form metal parts according to production specifications. This position is ideal for someone with basic mechanical aptitude who wants to grow their skills and advance within the department. What You’ll Do Operate brake press machines to bend and form metal parts Load/unload materials and ensure proper alignment Inspect parts for accuracy, quality, and specification compliance Perform routine machine maintenance and report issues Follow all safety procedures and use required PPE Document production details and material usage Collaborate with team members to meet goals and deadlines What You Need Education High School Diploma or GED preferred (not required) Experience & Knowledge Basic mechanical aptitude Understanding of brake press operations preferred Ability to read blueprints/work orders (training provided) Strong attention to detail Basic math skills helpful but not required Willingness to learn, adapt, and grow Key Skills Dependability — consistent attendance required Ability to problem‑solve and troubleshoot Strong teamwork and communication skills Professional interactions with coworkers and supervisors Commitment to quality and continuous improvement Physical Requirements Stand/walk for extended periods Use hands/arms to handle materials Lift up to 50 lbs Vision requirements: close, distance, color, and depth perception Additional Info This description outlines the core functions of the Class B operator role but may evolve based on business needs.
