Job description
The Leidos Health and Services Sector is seeking a Senior Systems Developer who will perform as a technical expert in the design, development, coding, testing, and debugging new application workflows or enhancements. Works with Government and their support teams to understand and to develop resolution of application issues.
Resolves issues with application workflows and respond to suggestions for modifications or enhancements. Participates in the development of application workflow activities and coordinates technical requirements with the customer. Candidates MUST: Be local to the DC metro area for onsite meetings with the customer AND US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a Public Trust position.
This is a full-time key personnel position contingent upon contract award.
Responsibilities
Serve as the technical expert in the design, development, coding, testing, and debugging of new EIM application workflows and enhancements. Work with the Government and its support teams to understand and resolve application issues, and respond to requests for modifications or enhancements. Participate in application workflow development activities and coordinate technical requirements with the customer.
Develop and configure workflows using Open. Text App. Works, Content Server, and Government-owned code in a multi-tenant healthcare platform. Deliver user stories through the agile sprint cycle: sprint planning, development, developer integration testing, demos, and retrospectives, using Government-furnished tools. Analyze, fix, and close trouble tickets in Service.
Now, and support after-hours production issues and weekend deployments as needed. Build and maintain standards-based interfaces (e.g., HL7, IHE XDR/XCA, FHIR, web services), including migration of interfaces to Mule. Soft. Support COTS upgrades, IAVA patches, and security remediation, keeping delivered code free of CAT I and CAT II security findings.
Use AI tools and techniques to reduce development time, improve deployments, and reduce defects. Deliver source code and documentation, and update technical design documents, interface control documents, and data dictionaries with each release.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems management, mathematics, engineering or related field
- Minimum 10 years of technical experience related to Health IT
- Demonstrated experience in developing DoW systems utilizing DoD Issuance (DoDI) 5000.02 agile development process
- Demonstrated technical expertise in application and business process development
- Experience in utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies to reduce development time, improve deployments and reduce defects
- Knowledge of computer concepts and techniques to develop and apply automated solutions to engineering, scientific, or business data acquisition and management problems Experience with healthcare interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR, IHE, DICOM). Experience with Mule. Soft, Salesforce, or AWS Gov. Cloud. Demonstrated experience developing DoD systems using the DoD agile development process (DoDI 5000.02). Demonstrated technical expertise in application and business process development. Experience using Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies to reduce development time, improve deployments, and reduce defects. Knowledge of computer concepts and techniques to develop and apply automated solutions to engineering, scientific, or business data acquisition and management problems. Desired Skills Highly preferred Experience implementing large-scale Open. Text Content Suite, App. Works, and Archive Center. Experience with the Defense Health Agency or Military Health System. DHA’s Enterprise Information Management (EIM) platform, an Open. Text-based enterprise content and business process management platform, hosted in AWS Gov. Cloud, that supports Military Health System application workflows including HAIMS, SPORTS, SNPMIS, Paper Records Tracking, FILER, and DMACS for service members, veterans, and their families. Security Clearance Must be able to obtain and maintain a favorably adjudicated background investigation for an ADP/IT-I or ADP/IT-II position designation (Tier 5 or Tier 3), and a DoD Common Access Card (CAC). Pay Range
Pay Range $107,900.00 - $195,050.00 The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
