Join Fish’s team in our fast-paced Practice Systems Department as a Docketing Specialist . This role is part of The Hub, Fish’s remote-first group of professionals. Hub employees work primarily from home with no expectation of a regular in-office presence. While this role is remote first it does require candidates to be commutable to a Fish office for quarterly team meetings.

Accurately review and process USPTO and foreign patent documents and client-related correspondence in the firm’s document intake and docketing system according to established procedures.

Process intake and docketing of large volumes of documents with high accuracy and within the daily productivity goals established for the assigned work. Monitor daily docket of deadlines and ensure that deadlines are met, and system is properly updated. Provide auditing service for matters and docketed actions to ensure quality control of client data.

What Will You Bring to the Table? 3+ years US and/or Foreign IP patent docketing experience is required. Comprehensive knowledge of docketing of patent processes. Ability to identify issues and problems and proactively work to solve them. Professional conduct, service-oriented attitude, and acute attention to detail. Ability to change and adapt to current and future responsibilities and circumstances.

Experience using FoundationIP is preferred. While this role is remote first it does require candidates to be commutable to a Fish office for quarterly team meetings. Why Fish? In Minneapolis, the estimated starting pay is $30.26 - $37.95 per hour (based on a 37.5-hour workweek), which is equivalent to $59,000 - $74,000 annually. In Boston, the estimated starting pay is $32.41 - $40.65 per hour (based on a 35-hour workweek), which is equivalent to $59,000 - $74,000 annually.
