Medical Laboratory Scientist / Technician

• Varied Shifts (United States of America) Scheduled Weekly Hours: 0 Compensation: Salary Range: $25 - $44 sign on bonus available Union Position: No Department Details Summary Responsible for pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical phases of testing. Job Description Follows standard operating procedures and ensures laboratory safety, quality and regulatory requirements are met. Serves as a laboratory resource to other health care personnel and collaborates with other departments across the enterprise. Demonstrates critical and independent judgment in decision-making and problem-solving. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Associates degree in Laboratory Science required. MLT Bachelors degree in Laboratory Science required. MLS Possess a national certification for Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or MLS or Clinical Laboratory Technician (CLT) through an approved Health and Human Services (HHS) agency, for example American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP); or be registry eligible.

Registry eligible candidates must successfully complete the Board of Registry examination within 12 months of employment. If working in North Dakota (ND), must be licensed or have a provisional license, by the ND Board of Clinical Laboratory Practice. Maintain continuing education credits equivalent to the state requirements as needed for license and certifications.
