- Department of East Asian Studies Winter 2027 Term Course: EAST 212 – Intro: East Asian Culture: Japan (3 credits) section 001 Course details: An introduction to Japan which presents various aspects of Japanese literature, culture, history, religions, philosophy and society. Emphasis on developing aural and oral skills through communication games and interaction activities. Animated films are used as part of teaching materials.
