Community Living Supports Professional - Adults with Disabilities

Lord's Legacy Life Ministries is looking for an upbeat, dependable Community Living Supports Professional. You'll spend your day out in Nicholasville and nearby towns with adults who have intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping each person build a fuller, more connected life outside the home. You'll be working in the community, not on group-home shifts.

A typical day might include

• Picking up the person you support and heading to the grocery store, bank or pharmacy

• Practicing real-world skills on the spot, like counting change, reading a menu or crossing a busy street safely

• Volunteering together at a food pantry or animal shelter

• Going to a class, ball game, worship service or club the person chooses

• Finishing with a short note on how the day went and progress toward their goals

Who does well here

• At least 1 year of caregiving experience

• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation to Nicholasville, KY

• The ability to communicate clearly and write brief daily notes in English

• Available during the day; evening or overnight flexibility is a bonus

• Calm, patient and respectful of each person's right to make their own choices

Pay and perks

• $15-$22 per hour, plus performance bonuses

• Independent contractor role with 30-60 hours per week; work full-time or part-time hours

• Paid training, plus support toward workshops and certifications
