We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and motivated Medical Assistant to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to help establish a new clinic, work alongside experienced healthcare providers, and make a meaningful difference in the health and well-being of the Lakeview community.

Position Overview

The Medical Assistant plays an essential role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care while supporting the daily clinical operations of the practice. This position works closely with providers and administrative staff to ensure efficient workflows, accurate documentation, and positive patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

Assist providers with patient examinations, treatments, and procedures. Prepare patients for examinations, obtain vital signs, and document medical histories. Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, and CLIA-waived laboratory testing. Administer medications, immunizations, and allergy injections as directed by providers.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record. Coordinate referrals, diagnostic testing, follow-up appointments, and prior authorizations. Provide patient education and communicate provider instructions. Prepare patient charts and assist with daily clinical workflows. Monitor laboratory results, diagnostic imaging, and referral tracking.

Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked examination rooms. Support quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with HIPAA and patient safety standards. Qualifications

Graduation from a Medical Assisting or certification program required. current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) required. Current CPR certification is required. Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures. Familiarity with electronic medical records and medical office operations.

Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality. Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills. Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative healthcare team. Commitment to compassionate, professional, and patient-focused care.
