Bull Durham Bar Bartender

• Durham, NC, Position Type: Full-Time/Part-Time, Salary Range: $7.00Hourly, The Bartender is responsible for providing an exceptional drinking experience by preparing and serving a variety of beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, while ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. The role involves engaging with customers to enhance their experience, managing inventory, and adhering to all health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve drinks in accordance with standard recipes and customer preferences.
• Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner to provide excellent customer service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning up spills.
• Manage bar inventory, including ordering and restocking supplies as needed.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including responsible alcohol service.
• Handle cash and credit transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Assist in the development of new cocktail recipes and promotions.
• Resolve customer complaints and issues promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operation of the bar.
• Monitor and manage patrons to prevent overconsumption of alcohol and ensure a safe environment.

Qualifications

Required Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent. Required Experience:
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working as a bartender in a high-volume establishment.
• Proven track record of providing excellent customer service in a hospitality environment.
• Experience in preparing a wide variety of cocktails and beverages.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of mixology, including classic and contemporary cocktail recipes.
• Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with customers and team members effectively.
• Proficiency in handling cash and operating point-of-sale systems.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Capability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items such as kegs and cases of beverages.
