Maplewood Richmond Heights School District 2531 South Big Bend Maplewood, MO 63143 (314)644-4400 Fax: (314)781-3160 Girl's Head Track Coach 26-27 School Year Supervisor: Director of Athletics and Activities Primary Responsibilities: To help each student participating achieve a high level of skill, an appreciation for the values of discipline, an increased level of self-esteem and to promote school spirit while participating in a sport.

Qualifications/Experience: A valid Missouri Teacher's Certificate/sub certification; previous experience with a track program. The coach should have substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of track. Terms of Employment: This contract shall be renewable from year to year only by written mutual consent of both parties.

Essential Functions

  • Enforces discipline and sports-like behavior at all times, and establishes and oversees penalties for breach of such standards by individual students.
  • Coaches' individual participants in the skills necessary for excellent achievement in the program.
  • Oversees the safety conditions of the facility or area at all times that students are present.
  • Provide feedback on schedules.
  • Complete required coaching tests in a timely manner.
  • Assign leave times for trips and check schedules for changes or discrepancies.
  • Coaches are required to ride the bus with the team.
  • Maintain information pertaining to supplies and documents related to the particular sport or activity.
  • Input all stats in STL Post Dispatch.
  • Weekly/Bi-weekly communications to parents (cc Director of Athletics and Activities)
  • Ensure all uniforms are returned. Review and send fine list to Director of Athletics and Activities.
  • Communicate what location is most feasible for out of town trips.
  • Bring in all receipts from athletic trips and events.
  • Implement HUDL and input the schedule for respective teams.
  • Conduct parent meetings for respective sport/activity (cc Director of Athletics and Activities).
  • Plan and participate in fundraiser efforts.
  • Book Media Day with HS Journalism Teacher. Set up team pictures when the sport season begins.
