Registered Nurse

• NICU Full-Time Position Night Shift (7p-7a) Job Summary: Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care Assists physicians during examinations and procedures Triages patients Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals Performs a variety of tasks A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department Qualifications: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas BLS and ACLS certifications NRP certification Suicide Prevention Certification PALS and COAP preferred Minimum 1 year of experience in NICU required Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care Benefits: Competitive salary and benefits package Opportunities for professional development and advancement Supportive work environment with a collaborative team Comprehensive healthcare coverage Retirement savings plan Paid time off and flexible scheduling options Odessa Regional Medical Center was founded in 1975 as Odessa Women’s and Children’s Hospital.
