A day in the life

Participate in food prep and/or production for the department and others as directed. Following established procedures, prep, pack and label food items according to assigned production schedule. Able to work with all products required to satisfy the assigned production list including: vegetables, fruits, meats, dairy, nuts and grains.

Ensure that food items are dated, stocked, rotated and all out of date items are removed. Ensure prep and food storage areas are maintained in sanitary, orderly condition meeting Health Department standards. Adhere to safe food handling procedures at the prep station, walk-in and waste management areas. Ensure proper storage and labeling.

Individuals are responsible for opening and closing procedures as assigned.
