RN - Ambulatory Clinic Telephone Triage - Per Diem - Variable Shift

Job Description: The Ambulatory Telephone Triage Nurse plays a crucial role in providing timely and efficient healthcare support to patients by telephone. The Telephone triage nurse provides timely and accurate assessment of a patient’s symptoms and utilizes critical thinking, nursing judgement, and approved decision support tools to provide appropriate nursing advice and determine the level of care required.

This is a hybrid remote position that requires a minimum of one on-site shift per week. RNs must meet all eligibility criteria prior to transitioning to hybrid remote status.

Education

Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program – Required Bachelor's Degree Nursing

• Preferred Experience: 1 Year Acute Care Hospital
• Preferred 1 Year Ambulatory, triage, or medical office experience
• Preferred 1 Year Telephone Triage – Preferred Certifications/Licensures: RN Registered Nursing
• California Board of Nursing
• Required BLS Basic Life Support
• American Heart Association – Required Skills Evenings and weekends may be required Advanced clinical assessment and decision-making ability Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) Able to work well independently Functions well in a high-stress environment Sound critical thinking Effective time management and organization skills Empathetic with the ability to develop trust with patients Bilingual in English/Spanish- preferred Work Shift: 08.0 Per Diem No Waive (United States of America) Pay Range: $75.28 - $101.62 Hourly Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure. Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area . Note: Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting.
