Sales Floor Team Member (Thrift Out)

Position Title: Sales Floor Team Member. Reports To: Store Manager. Initiative: Thrift Out. Location: Springdale. ABOUT THRIFT OUTThrift Out exists to extend the stewardship cycle of garments while offering a clean, organized, and deeply discounted shopping experience, allowing every person to leave with more dignity, more hope, and more items for themselves and their loved ones.Job Summary. The Thrift Out Floor Team is responsible for providing excellent customer service, managing transactions, putting out products, and supporting the overall operations of the store.

This role plays a vital part in furthering the mission of the non-profit organization by ensuring a welcoming and organized shopping experience for customers and donors. This role provides an opportunity to make a positive impact in the community while gaining valuable retail experience in a mission-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities. Christian Faith & Ministry Responsibilities. Participate in and lead prayer as part of internal meetings and team gatherings, which may include, depending on your role, L10 meetings, monthly store meetings, and other PB414 meetings. Offer to pray with customers and team members when appropriate, providing encouragement and support consistent with the core of PB414’s Christian mission.

Act as a messenger and teacher of the Christian faith by providing Christ-centered encouragement and guidance to customers and team members, pointing them toward biblical truth and the hope of the Gospel.Conduct oneself in a manner consistent with the PB414's statement of faith, values, and expectations.Shared Mission Responsibilities.

Volunteers are an essential part of the PB414 mission. Every team member is expected to welcome, support, and empower volunteers while providing the leadership and guidance they need to succeed.Fundraising is essential to the PB414 mission. Every team member is expected to support and participate in fundraising efforts while helping build awareness, relationships, and support for our mission.

Job Specific Responsibilities. Support sales strategies to maximize revenue and contribute to the PB414 mission. Work collaboratively with the team and volunteers. Help manage inventory, including receiving donations, stocking, and merchandising. Provide excellent customer service at all points of contact - assist customers with purchases, provide product information, and ensure a positive shopping experience.

Organize and stock merchandise, ensuring displays are visually appealing and aligned with store standards. Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and compliance with safety and operational policies, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for customers and volunteers. Ensure adherence to PB414 regulations, financial accountability, and ethical business practices.

Support marketing and community outreach efforts to attract customers and donors by helping prepare for popup events and occasionally work at events. Other responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities. Experience in cash handling and point-of-sale (POS) systems preferred.

Ability to work effectively with diverse groups, including volunteers and donors. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Problem-solving abilities. Passion for the mission and values of Purpose Brands 414. Dependable transportation to and from shifts. Must be 16+ years of age.Education & Experience. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus. Volunteer experience in non-profit organizations is beneficial. Work Environment. Frequent standing, walking, and interaction with customers, donors, volunteers and team Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
