SAP AMS Practice Lead

Roles and Responsibilities Lead the SAP AMS practice across the delivery unit and ensure effective service delivery. Provide direction and guidance to SAP AMS teams across multiple support engagements. Oversee service quality, SLA performance, customer escalations, and continuous improvement initiatives. Establish and continuously improve SAP AMS processes, standards, and delivery practices.

Manage SAP resource allocation across engagements based on project requirements, skills, capacity, and business priorities. Support resource planning, capacity management, staffing requirements, and succession planning for the SAP delivery unit. Identify resource gaps and coordinate with relevant stakeholders on hiring, onboarding, training, and team development.

Monitor resource utilization and ensure the effective deployment of SAP consultants across engagements. Monitor and manage the overall profitability of SAP AMS engagements. Act as a Solutions Architect for SAP initiatives by providing solution guidance and architectural recommendations. Review SAP solution designs, integrations, enhancements, and technical approaches to ensure alignment with SAP best practices.

Support SAP teams in resolving complex technical and solution-related issues. Collaborate with customers, SAP teams, implementation partners, and internal stakeholders. Support presales, solutioning, and transition activities for new and existing SAP engagements. Mentor SAP consultants and contribute to capability development within the delivery unit.

Delivery & Quality Expectations Ensure SAP AMS services are delivered in accordance with agreed SLAs, quality standards, and customer expectations. Drive consistent delivery standards and continuous improvement across SAP support engagements. Ensure SAP solutions align with architectural standards and SAP best practices.

Maintain appropriate documentation for service processes, solution decisions, and architectural recommendations. Collaboration & Communication Build strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, and SAP delivery teams. Communicate service performance, risks, issues, and recommendations clearly and proactively. Provide leadership and guidance to SAP teams across the delivery unit.

Maintain professional conduct and effective stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

At least 10 years of SAP consulting experience. Strong experience in SAP Application Management Services (AMS), production support, and service delivery. Experience leading SAP support teams and managing customer-facing delivery activities. Strong understanding of SAP solution architecture and the SAP technology landscape. SAP certification is an advantage.
