Treasurer (Volunteer)

About Muddy Sneakers is seeking a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with nonprofit experience to join our board of directors as treasurer. Muddy Sneakers Outdoor Classroom is a nonprofit environmental education organization serving elementary school students across North Carolina. Through a curriculum aligned with the NC Essential Science Standards, we take students out of the classroom and into nature-transforming nearby public lands into living classrooms.

Since our founding in 2007, we’ve introduced tens of thousands of students to hands-on science learning rooted in the local ecosystems they call home. In the 2025-2026 school year, we will serve more than 4,000 students across half the state-from the Mountains to the Piedmont and beyond.
