Loan Services Specialist

Are you detail-oriented, organized, and enjoy being part of a team that helps others succeed? Community 1st Credit Union is looking for a Loan Service Specialist to support our lending operations and help ensure a smooth, accurate, and positive experience for our members. In this role, you'll work behind the scenes to support loan processing and servicing, collaborate with internal teams, and help keep loan-related processes running efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Post journal entries, process payments, verify details, and assist with reports
• Support general accounting tasks (mail processing, posting entries) and maintain assigned general ledger accounts
• Work in an electronic lien system; handle Motor Vehicle Titles, DNR titles, UCC filings, and total loss claims
• Manage controlled distribution of loan funds and collateral perfection on consumer loans
• Troubleshoot and resolve member/internal inquiries quickly; maintain strong knowledge of loan documentation and underwriting platforms

Required skills/qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication; tact, courtesy, and diplomacy
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and 10-key
• Self-motivated team player with a high level of confidentiality

Your day kicks off by reviewing queues and priorities, then moving briskly between payment activity, account verification, and quick check-ins with teammates. You'll spend focused time in the electronic lien platform, shifting from title work to UCC items as deadlines pop. Midday often brings a steady stream of questions-members and coworkers counting on clear, confident answers. In the afternoon, you'll button up documentation, reconcile details that keep everything clean and compliant, and finish with a satisfying sense that every number and record is exactly where it should be.
