Maintenance Officer (part-time)

Maintenance Officer AC by Marriott Gold Coast | Engineering | Part-Time | Pre-Opening Team At AC by Marriott Gold Coast , we’re bringing The Perfectly Precise Hotel to life — a stylish, thoughtfully edited experience where purposeful design, attention to detail and seamless operations come together. As a Maintenance Officer , you’ll support our Engineering team with day-to-day maintenance tasks that help keep the hotel safe, functional and looking its best.

This is a hands-on support role, ideal for someone practical, reliable and willing to assist across a range of basic maintenance activities. What You’ll Do Assist with basic maintenance and minor repair tasks across the hotel. Support with simple plumbing issues such as unclogging drains, plunging toilets and addressing minor leaks.

Complete small repairs including tightening fittings, changing light bulbs and patching minor wall damage. Assist with preventative maintenance of tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication. Help identify and report maintenance issues, hazards and unsafe conditions. Support the Engineering team with moving equipment, tools and materials as required.

Carry out visual checks of equipment and hotel areas. Follow workplace health and safety, security and Marriott International procedures at all times. What We’re Looking For We’re looking for someone who is practical, dependable and enjoys hands-on work. You’ll ideally bring: A positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Basic practical or maintenance skills. Strong attention to detail. Good communication and teamwork skills. The ability to follow instructions and work safely. Confidence using basic hand tools and equipment. Previous maintenance, trade assistant, facilities or hotel experience is advantageous. Flexibility to work a part-time rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays where required.
