Job Title: High School Assistant Girls Basketball Coach Job Family: Classified Department: Grand Valley High School Typical Work Year: Seasonal FLSA Status: Exempt Pay Range: Coaching Salary Schedule: : $1,366.00 - $3,510.00 Grand Valley High School is seeking applications of candidates for Assistant Girls Basketball Coach for Winter 2026.

This is a part-time, seasonal, salaried position located in Parachute, CO. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.

Responsibilities include

Effective professionalism and management of the basketball program which would include, but not limited to scheduling, planning, organizing, in-season and off-season training, budgeting, safety and promoting the basketball team and Grand Valley Activities Department and CHSAA. Demonstrate productive coaching strategies, skills and knowledge of basketball and Field/fitness/training.

Establish solid communication and build quality relationships with student participants, parents and the community in general. To assist the student athlete in the areas of academic excellence and eligibility and provide an atmosphere of personal growth. A genuine commitment to Grand Valley High School philosophies, students, staff, and surrounding community.

Create and support program purpose in participant intellectual development, agency, productive citizenship, and personal wellness Desired qualifications: One to three years of coaching experience. Skills related to coaching, teaching, recruiting, and mentoring athletes. Knowledge of CHSAA rules and regulations. Knowledge and management of sports related injuries.

Teaching Credentials preferred.
