OB/GYN Maternal-Fetal Medicine Physician (Parkland Hospital) [Req#: 966567, Position#: 109670]
Job description
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas, Texas, seeks to fill a position in its Maternal-Fetal Medicine Division. The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching and providing outstanding evidence-based clinical care. Principal clinical assignment will be to provide clinical coverage and maternal fetal medicine services as well as to provide teaching and mentoring to our students, residents and fellows in labor and delivery, high-risk antepartum inpatient services, clinic, and sonography.
The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center (UT Southwestern) is the home of the largest residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and one of the busiest clinical programs in the United States. The Department has a robust research program and excellent graduate and undergraduate medical education programs.
The Department has faculty at both Parkland Health and Hospital System, which serves a diverse, underrepresented patient population and Clements University Hospital which serves a large MFM referral population. As you consider opportunities, it's important to recognize that conditions occuring just 1% of the time are seen approximately every three days in our hospital system.
With nearly 15,000 births each year, we care for roughly 1 in every 240 newborn Americans.
Candidates must have a medical degree; completed an accredited residency in obstetrics and gynecology and by the time of hire have completed an approved fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine; and have attained or be eligible for Texas medical licensure and certification by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology.
Interested candidates should apply online at https://jobs.utsouthwestern.edu/ (Job# 966567) and upload a curriculum vitae, letter of interest and contact information for one reference.
