AML Governance Officer

As part of the strengthening of the European AML/CFT framework, you will join the EU Parent Undertaking AML team and contribute to the definition, implementation and continuous enhancement of the AML/CFT governance framework at European level. You will play a central role in harmonizing practices across the Group’s different entities, monitoring regulatory developments and supporting relationships with supervisory authorities.

In a pleasant and dynamic environment, you will join our specialized team and, among other responsibilities, be in charge of the following: Develop, maintain and continuously enhance the AML/CFT governance framework applicable to European subsidiaries and branches; Define and harmonize AML/CFT governance principles, policies, standards and procedures in coordination with the different Group entities; Monitor regulatory developments and supervisory expectations issued by authorities such as AMLA, the European Commission, EBA, FATF and national competent authorities, and assess their impact; Translate regulatory requirements into actionable measures and coordinate their implementation across European entities; Coordinate and oversee the European-wide Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Risk Assessment; Identify and escalate significant risks, governance weaknesses or control deficiencies and contribute to the definition of remediation plans; Act as a key contact for AML/CFT governance matters with AMLA and contribute to inspections, information requests and interactions with supervisory authorities; Prepare reports, analyses and materials for governance bodies and senior management; Coordinate AML/CFT stakeholders across Europe and promote the sharing of best practices and the consistent implementation of requirements throughout the Group.

Master’s degree in Law, Compliance, Finance, Risk Management or a related field; 10+ years of experience in AML/CFT, ideally within banking, insurance or financial services; Proven experience in dealing with regulators and supervisory authorities; Experience in an international environment and the ability to coordinate stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions; Excellent knowledge of the European AML/CFT regulatory framework, including the EU AML Package, AMLA, AML regulations and directives, as well as FATF Recommendations; Excellent analytical, communication, problem-solving and synthesis skills; Strong ability to organize, coordinate and manage cross-functional topics involving multiple stakeholders; Autonomy, accountability, adaptability and a collaborative mindset; Very good command of both French and English, written and spoken. Any additional language is considered an asset.
