Instructional Designer
Job description
Instructional Designer Responsibilities & Duties Develop and revise professional documentation, including guidebooks, job aids, program outlines, and technical content for multiple initiatives. Collaborate with subject-matter experts and key reviewers to incorporate feedback, finalize content, and prepare materials for publication.
Support content management systems and repositories, including organizing resources, identifying items for removal, updating categories, and posting finalized materials. Plan and produce virtual events such as webinars and peer-to-peer sessions, including topic identification, speaker coordination, slide development, practice sessions, and logistics setup.
Schedule and manage program-related meetings, including sending calendar invites, coordinating debriefs, and maintaining tracking spreadsheets for sessions and participation. Prepare presentation materials for on-site programs, including updating reference guides, coordinating reviews with partner agencies, and managing iterative edits based on feedback.
Maintain organized documentation across multiple program areas to support ongoing operational workflows and project delivery. Skills Technical Writing & Content Development Stakeholder Coordination & Cross-Functional Collaboration Project Management & Task Prioritization Webinar and Virtual Event Production (Zoom setup, practice sessions, recording management) Editing, Reviewing, and Incorporating SME Feedback Knowledge & File Management (Repository posting, resource organization) Slide Deck Creation and Presentation Review Requirements Gathering and Document Drafting (reference guides, operational workflows) Process Documentation and Workflow Development Qualifications Demonstrated ability to develop professional reference materials, job aids, operational guides, and technical content for complex programs.
Strong project coordination skills with the ability to manage multi-step deliverables, incorporate stakeholder feedback, and advance documents through multiple review and approval cycles. Competency in planning, producing, and supporting virtual events, including webinars, peer-to-peer sessions, and on-site meetings.
Responsibilities include
agenda development, speaker coordination, draft slide creation, practice sessions, logistics setup, and archiving final recordings. Ability to organize and maintain digital repositories, including content platforms, resource categorization, and file management for finalized materials. Skill in documenting operational workflows, organizing program content, and supporting administrative workflows across multiple functional areas.
