Job description

Inventory Coordinator Compensation: $25.00 – $34.00 per hour. Starting pay is determined based on factors including experience, skills, education, training, and internal equity. Schedule: Full-time. Four 10-hour shifts per week, including day and swing shifts, weekends and holidays as business needs require. Essential Job Responsibilities As an Inventory Coordinator, you'll play a key role in ensuring the hospital operates efficiently every day by: Inventory Management Order pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, and hospital inventory Receive, inspect, verify, and stock incoming shipments Maintain accurate inventory levels across multiple departments Rotate inventory and monitor expiration dates Ensure products are stored according to manufacturer guidelines Purchasing Investigate backorders and identify alternative products Coordinate with vendors Support purchasing activities Operations Perform inventory counts and reconciliations Track inventory trends Maintain organized storage areas Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Excellent organizational and time management skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Outstanding communication and customer service skills Basic computer proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office Ability to safely lift and move up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive movements for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation Self-motivated with a positive, team-oriented attitude Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of accuracy while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications Veterinary, medical, healthcare, or pharmacy experience Previous inventory, purchasing, warehouse, logistics, or supply chain experience Experience with inventory management software Knowledge of medical products and pharmaceuticals Experience working in a fast-paced hospital environment Continuous improvement or Lean process experience is a plus Why You'll Love Working at WLA At VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital, our Operations team plays an essential role in delivering exceptional patient care.
