The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, communicates clearly, and can manage multiple priorities while ensuring samples are collected, documented, and delivered for analysis within required holding times.
Key Responsibilities
Collect water, wastewater, soil, and other environmental samples according to established sampling plans, laboratory procedures, and client requirements. Coordinate sampling activities: Schedule sampling visits and pickups, organize routes, confirm site access, and communicate collection requirements with clients and laboratory staff.

Complete accurate documentation: Maintain clear and complete chain-of-custody records, field logs, equipment records, and sample tracking information. Coordinate laboratory handoffs: Work with sample receiving and analytical departments to verify sample receipt, communicate testing requirements, and prioritize samples with short holding times.
Support weekend and after-hours deliveries: Arrange deliveries with designated laboratory personnel, communicate holding-time deadlines, and confirm receipt and acknowledgment of time-sensitive samples. Maintain field equipment: Perform required equipment checks, calibration, cleaning, and routine maintenance, and promptly report equipment problems.
Support laboratory workflow: Assist with sample receipt, verification, LIMS data entry, sample routing, and supply inventory as assigned and trained. Resolve and report issues: Promptly communicate sampling delays, missing paperwork, sample discrepancies, access problems, or other conditions that could affect sample quality or timely analysis.
Follow safety and quality procedures: Use required personal protective equipment and follow laboratory, field, and client-site safety requirements.
