We have delivery centres in Mauritius, Rwanda, Kenya and Dubai. Our Group is expanding locally and internationally and has opportunities for the right individual. Job Purpose: As DTOS Ltd continues to grow locally and internationally, we are seeking an experienced and results-driven Portfolio & Value Manager to join our Technology & Transformation team and provide strong governance, financial oversight and value management across the Group’s technology portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the technology portfolio, including intake, prioritisation, sequencing and capacity planning.
- Establish and maintain business case standards and benefit baselines, and conduct post-implementation reviews.
- Monitor project commitments, budgets, forecasts, Cap. Ex and Op. Ex, and provide clear explanations of variances.
- Define governance requirements and ensure initiatives meet the necessary criteria to proceed, continue or stop.
- Maintain visibility of technology contracts, renewals and expenditure, ensuring compliance with procurement, finance and approval controls.
- Monitor AI initiatives and ensure they follow the agreed intake, business case and governance processes.
- Maintain governance and decision records and prepare monthly portfolio reporting for management.
- Report on commitments, progress, risks, benefits realised and initiatives stopped to the Director and Steering Committee.
- Lead and support the development of the Portfolio & Value Analyst. Qualifications, Skills and Competencies:
- Degree in Finance, Engineering, Business, Information Systems or a related field.
- 8 to 10 years of experience in portfolio management, project control, management control or finance business partnering, preferably within a technology environment.
- Strong financial management and control skills, including budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
- Strong experience in business case development, benefits management and portfolio reporting.
- Good understanding of contract, renewal and technology spend management.
- Strong analytical, organisational and decision-making skills.
- Ability to challenge priorities, costs and business value constructively and influence stakeholders at different levels.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present and defend financial and portfolio information.
- Fluent in written and spoken English; French would be an advantage.
- Structured, results-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
