Job description
Job Purpose To operate a motor grader (SANY) efficiently and safely for road construction, leveling, and grading works, ensuring surfaces are prepared to required specifications and project timelines are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a SANY motor grader for road construction, leveling, spreading, and grading activities.
- Perform fine grading, shaping, and finishing of road surfaces, shoulders, and drainage systems.
- Maintain proper slope, alignment, and surface levels as per engineering specifications.
- Conduct daily pre-start checks and routine inspections of the equipment.
- Ensure proper maintenance and safe handling of the grader to minimize downtime.
- Work closely with surveyors and supervisors to achieve accurate grading levels.
- Follow all safety regulations and site procedures at all times.
- Identify and report mechanical faults or safety concerns promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and safe working condition of the machine.
Qualifications
and Experience
- Valid heavy equipment operator certification/license (Motor Grader).
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience operating motor graders in road or infrastructure projects.
- Experience in road construction and maintenance projects is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with SANY graders or similar equipment.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for routine maintenance. Additional Requirements
- Must have a clean criminal record (certificate of good conduct may be required).
