Job description
Builds up and breaks down cargo pallets and freight containers following guidelines;
- Identifies cargo that does not meet customer or company standards and or guidelines;
- Obtains proper security documents for all shipments;
- Organizes freight within the warehouse according to the base storage plan;
- Properly and safely loads and unloads freight; Requirements Maintain and treat all information as confidential;
- Possess the tact to deal with all levels of employees and client representatives;
- Must be able to read, write, understand and carry out instructions in English;
- Must be able to verbally direct in English;
- Previous forklift experience preferred;
- A valid driver’s license is required for this position;
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearances required by Local and Federal Regulatory Authorities;
- Successful completion of the SIDA airport badging or background check process is required for this location. Must be able to squat, stoop, kneel, bend, stretch, crawl in awkward positions;
- Must be able to lift, push pull up to 75 pounds at times;
- May be exposed to hazards inherent in airport operations, including noise, vehicles, equipment, and weather, all of which are well-managed with a high level of training, personal protective equipment, and safety procedures. Benefits Insurance - health, dental and life
