Job Description – Accounts Trainee / Article Assistant Company Name: Siju Samu & Associates Location: Kadavanthra, Kochi Job Type: Full-time Probation Period: 2 Months Role Overview Siju Samu & Associates is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Trainee / Article Assistant to support day-to-day accounting and compliance activities.
This role is ideal for candidates who are eager to gain hands-on experience in accounting, GST, and financial reporting within a professional firm environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in maintaining books of accounts and accounting records Support GST filing, return preparation, and GST reconciliation Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports Perform basic data entry, ledger scrutiny, and documentation Coordinate with seniors for audit and compliance-related tasks Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with statutory requirements Eligibility & Skills Basic knowledge of accounting principles Understanding of GST concepts and filings is preferred Good analytical and reconciliation skills Proficiency in MS Excel and basic accounting software Willingness to learn, adapt, and work in a team environment Attention to detail and a responsible work attitude Compensation During Probation (2 months): ₹5,000 per month Post-Probation: ₹10,000 per month (subject to performance review) Benefits What We Offer Practical exposure to accounting, GST, and compliance work Learning-oriented professional environment Opportunity to build a strong foundation in accounts and taxation
