Secondary History Substitute Teacher

Position: Secondary History Teacher Classification: Long-term Sub (January 19 – June 4, 2027) Reports To: Secondary Principal About Us: Lenawee Christian Ministries provides a Christ-centered education, spiritual development, and wellness services to the Lenawee County community, centered around Jesus Christ.

Position Summary

Lenawee Christian School is seeking a passionate, Christ-centered Secondary History Teacher who is excited to disciple students through engaging instruction and biblical integration. The ideal candidate will help students understand and interpret historical events through a Christian worldview, cultivating critical thinking and a love for truth.

Key Responsibilities

Teach high school history courses, which may include U.S. History, World History, Government, or other related subjects Develop lesson plans that foster inquiry-based learning, promote student engagement, and integrate biblical principles Encourage thoughtful discussion and critical analysis of historical events and their impact on today’s world Support the mission of the school through godly mentorship and participation in extra-curricular activities and student ministry groups Qualifications: Christian Faith: Profess and demonstrate a personal commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

Adherence to Christian principles and values in both personal and professional life.
