Patient Financial Advocate

Cottage Health seeks a Patient Financial Advocate for their CH Single Billing Office department responsible for supporting patients and leadership by engaging with patients in response to their questions and concerns surrounding billing and insurance, including coordination of benefits.

Education

Preferred: Bachelor's Degree. Technical Requirements: Required: Basic MS Word, Outlook and Excel skills; 35 wpm keyboard/typing speed. Preferred: Medical Terminology, anatomy and physiology, ICD-10 coding knowledge, CPT Coding knowledge, EPIC experience Years of Related Work Experience: Required: 2 years of medical billing and/or patient registration experience.

Preferred: 7 years in a hospital environment with extensive knowledge of all billing and registration systems, including insurance carriers, contracts, and types of medical coverage.
