Description Precision Healthcare Specialists is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our ENT & Allergy specialty team. The ideal candidate is a dependable, patient-focused healthcare professional who is comfortable working in a busy specialty practice and providing both clinical and patient-support services.

The Certified Medical Assistant will work closely with physicians and clinical staff to provide excellent patient care, maintain efficient clinical flow, and ensure patients have a positive experience throughout their visit.

Essential Duties

& Responsibilities Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, including obtaining and documenting vital signs, medical history, medications, and other pertinent information. Assist physicians and providers during examinations, procedures, and treatments. Perform clinical tasks within the scope of certification and applicable policies and procedures.

Prepare and maintain examination rooms, supplies, and clinical equipment. Obtain and properly document patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR). Assist with specimen collection, labeling, and preparation as directed. Administer medications and injections as permitted by training, certification, and applicable regulations.

Provide patient education and instructions regarding medications, treatments, procedures, and follow-up care. Assist with ENT-specific procedures and clinical needs as trained. Support allergy-related testing, treatments, and patient care as applicable to the practice. Coordinate with providers and clinical staff to maintain an efficient patient flow.

Answer patient questions and communicate patient concerns to the appropriate provider. Assist with scheduling follow-up appointments, referrals, testing, and other clinical needs as needed. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and all applicable healthcare regulations.

Keep exam rooms and clinical areas clean, organized, and properly stocked. Perform other clinical and administrative duties as assigned.

Requirements

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required. High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in a medical office or clinical setting preferred. ENT, Allergy, Otolaryngology, or other specialty-office experience is a plus. Strong clinical and patient-care skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to maintain professionalism and compassion when working with patients. Proficiency with electronic medical records and basic computer systems preferred.
