Prior Authorization Assistant

Find your purpose as a Prior Authorization Assistant with Centra. Care. The Prior Authorization team processes all health plan/payer utilization review requirements, which include managed care referrals, pre-certifications, and prior authorizations in a timely and accurate manner. They work closely with internal physicians and staff as well as health care providers outside the clinic to facilitate quality patient care and demonstrate excellent customer service.

Supporting and implementing patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate. A Prior Authorization Assistant supports and demonstrates Family Centered Care principles when interacting with patients and their families and with co-workers. Schedule: Full-time | 72 hours every two weeks Mon-Fri | Hours between 8am-4:30pm Majority remote; orientation and occasional meeting onsite Pay and Benefits: Starting pay begins at $21.

Qualifications

Associate's degree, preferably in Health Information Technology (HIT) or another health-care related program. 1 year of relevant healthcare experience in lieu of education.
