Loan Officer- Vevay

Job Title: Loan Officer Status: Non-Exempt Reports to: Chief Lending Officer Summary: Under general supervision, but in accordance with established lending policies and procedures, receives and reviews applications for consumer credit. Meets with applicants to explain credit policies and to obtain additional loan documentation.

Assembles loan applications and approves loans that meet established lending criteria and are within approval lending limits. Presents loan requests above lending limit to senior loan officer and/or other appropriate groups.

Essential Duties

Complete loan applications Provide financial counseling Underwrite credit applicants Make sound and justifiable credit decisions Prepare counter offers and loan denials Prepare and present applicable loans to the monthly directors loan committee Adhere and comply with all state and federal regulations in regards to consumer lending Prepare proper documents for loan closing Close and fund loans Follow-up procedures such as lien perfections, collateral inspections Cross-sell other products and services offered by Friendship Bancorp Sell insurance on loans Provide guidance and decision making advice to other lenders Works with Collections Department to manage delinquent loans and Bank-owned property Non-essential Duties Other duties as assigned by management.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong decision making abilities Maintains extensive knowledge of all regulatory, compliance, procedural, and policy information Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from regulatory agencies Ability to write professional correspondence Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and percentages. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Training and Experience: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) or equivalent from four-year college or university; and Three to five years related experience and/or training; or Equivalent combination of education and experience. Conditions of Employment: Must travel between branches as required. Must pass background check.
