Pastry Sous Chef – Luxury Boutique Hotel – Centurion, Gauteng Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a talented and experienced Pastry Sous Chef to join a luxury boutique hotel in Centurion, Gauteng. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate pastry professional who takes pride in producing high-quality desserts, pastries and baked goods while supporting the pastry kitchen and maintaining exceptional culinary standards.

Key responsibilities

Assisting the Pastry Chef with the daily operation of the pastry kitchen Preparing and producing a variety of high-quality pastries, desserts, breads and baked goods Ensuring consistency, presentation and quality across all pastry products Supporting menu development and introducing creative pastry concepts Supervising and guiding junior pastry team members Ensuring mise en place is completed efficiently and to the required standard Maintaining high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and food safety Monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering and stock control Minimising wastage while maintaining quality and portion control Assisting with training and development within the pastry team Supporting the Pastry Chef and Executive Chef with daily kitchen requirements Requirements Previous experience as a Pastry Sous Chef or in a senior pastry role Formal culinary or pastry qualification would be advantageous Strong knowledge of pastry techniques and production Experience within a luxury hotel or high-end hospitality environment Excellent attention to detail and presentation Creative approach to pastry and dessert preparation Strong leadership and communication skills Ability to work efficiently under pressure Good understanding of food hygiene and safety standards Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and public holidays Position details Location: Centurion, Gauteng Property: Luxury Boutique Hotel Position: Pastry Sous Chef Salary: Negotiable depending on experience How to apply Interested candidates who meet the above requirements are invited to submit their CV to Kendrick Recruitment for consideration.
