The Opportunity PATCO Products is looking for an experienced Quality Control Supervisor to join our manufacturing team in Grandview, Missouri.
Reporting to the QA/QC Manager, this position plays a key leadership role in ensuring the quality, safety, and consistency of our products and manufacturing processes. You’ll lead and develop a team of Quality Control Technicians while overseeing laboratory operations, testing, quality systems, documentation, instrumentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You’ll Do Lead, coach, and develop Quality Control Technicians responsible for testing raw materials, work-in-process materials, and finished products.
Ensure ongoing compliance with quality and food safety standards, including HACCP, GMPs, FSMA, BRCGS, ISO 9001, and EXCiPACT. Promote a strong culture of food safety, product quality, workplace safety, and continuous improvement. Plan and coordinate laboratory staffing and coverage, including scheduling and timecard approvals.
Ensure QC personnel are properly trained, qualified, and competent to perform assigned testing and laboratory responsibilities. Provide ongoing training to Quality and Operations teams on quality techniques, tools, procedures, and expectations. Lead investigations involving product, process, food safety, and quality nonconformities.
Coordinate problem-solving activities and ensure corrective and preventive actions are completed accurately and on time. Develop, update, and maintain quality documentation, specifications, test methods, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Maintain and support Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) databases.
Coordinate the development, maintenance, and validation of laboratory test methods. Oversee calibration, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and support of laboratory instruments and equipment. Research, recommend, purchase, and implement new laboratory instrumentation within approved budgets and timelines. Ensure necessary laboratory supplies, chemicals, and preventive maintenance materials are available.
Conduct safety, quality, and environmental compliance audits. Monitor and communicate facility quality performance to management, Operations, Warehouse, and other key stakeholders. Partner with Engineering, Technology, Operations, and other departments on new product development and process improvement initiatives. Provide backup support to the QA/QC Manager and Chemical Analysts as needed.
Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support department and company goals. What We’re Looking For Education Bachelors Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or a related scientific/technical field required. Experience Minimum of 3 years of quality and/or regulatory leadership experience within a food manufacturing environment.
Working knowledge of food safety and quality programs, including HACCP, GMPs, SPC, and PCQI requirements for food and feed. Experience working within a TPM or continuous improvement environment preferred. Experience leading, coaching, and developing quality or laboratory employees. Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, documentation, and organizational skills.
Ability to communicate effectively across Quality, Operations, Engineering, Warehouse, and leadership teams.
Preferred Qualifications
HACCP certification. GFSI Internal Auditor certification. Experience with laboratory instrumentation, calibration, validation, and LIMS. Experience with BRCGS, ISO 9001, EXCiPACT, or similar quality management systems. Additional Requirements Ability to work on-site at our Grandview, MO manufacturing facility. Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing and laboratory environment.
