Head Coach, Track

SUMMARY Organizes and administers all matters related to track and enforces all rules and regulations of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJACC), Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C), and the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) where applicable as a framework to instruct student athletes in individual and team fundamentals, strategy and physical training necessary to achieve individual and team success.

Enforces rules and regulations pertaining to conditioning of players and training rules affecting the health and safety of players.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Schedules and manages practice sessions and games Ensure compliance with NJCAA, OCCAC, and Tri-C rules and regulations Organizes and runs staff meetings, and attends meetings when called by the Executive Director, Athletics, Wellness Recreation Provides emergency first aid and medical care in absence of the trainer Enforces rules and regulations pertaining to conditioning of players and training rules affecting the health and safety of players Oversees the recruitment of student-athletes and scouting opponents Manages the establishment and enforcement of team rules Leads clinics, practices, and tournaments Carries out other duties as assigned by the Executive Director, Athletics, Wellness Recreation May be responsible for transporting student athletes in College-rented vehicles within the scop of departmental functions.

Must complete the Compliance and Risk Management process to become an authorized driver and be granted a waiver to transport students Perform other duties as assigned
