Manager, Product Sourcing Engineering

Type: Direct hire, full-time

• Base: $143,000–$190,000 + equity
• Clearance: Must be eligible for a U.S. Secret clearance
• Travel: Up to 30% VDS is recruiting a sourcing leader for a defense-technology company standing up high-rate production of an air-vehicle family at a new manufacturing campus. You will build and lead the team that secures every part the line needs.

What you'll do

Lead a team of product sourcing engineers and subcontract managers. Set supply strategy for continuity, quality, cost and scale-up. Negotiate supplier agreements and resolve trade-offs with engineering, program and finance. Reduce bill-of-materials complexity and supplier count. Manage capital spend, new product introduction and tariff exposure.

What you bring 8+ years in manufacturing supply chain or production, including 5+ years leading people. A bachelor's in supply chain, engineering or a related field; MBA or MS preferred. Clear communication from the shop floor to executives.

Nice to have

Defense, aerospace or automotive production experience. Leading large teams while staying hands-on.
